Flipboard is the best looking and shows the most information in the while taking up the least amont of space, but you pay for it as it will slow down the overall proformence of older phones. If you spend the time setting up your profile and feeds you can get a lot out of the app and widget. Give it a try.

It just works, period. It's clean and fast, and the only thing I've found wrong is it randomly closes itself sometimes. Other than that, it's my go to source for subscribing to newsfeeds.
